According to the FSU Bookstore, nearly 1 in 5 students have skipped or deferred a class because of course material costs and over one-third of students go without required textbooks. Your gift to the FSU Libraries Text Book Fund can help!

FSU Libraries Text Book Fund

Students are sometimes faced with the decision between purchasing a text book, paying rent, buying groceries, or putting gas in their car. Many students are asked to spend upwards of $500 on text books for a single semester. Some students combat this by sharing out-of-date text books or going without books all together. This fund aims to alleviate that burden for the university's most financially needy students by supporting their academic endeavors.

The Text Book Fund is targeted to students who have demonstrated a financial need through one of several FSU programs. The library will purchase text books to be borrowed by students throughout the semester at no cost to them.  Students who are already receiving financial aid or are on scholarship may still be eligible for this fund.

As an essential part of a preeminent university, FSU Libraries are committed to ensuring all students have the tools they need to succeed. Your gift to the Text Book Fund can help these students and benefit the entire university. All gifts, no matter the size, make a real difference!
