Design Student Travel Awards

Did you know? FSU’s graduate program is ranked Most Admired for the 4th year in a row, and our undergraduate program is ranked in the Top 10 by Design Intelligence. Read here for more information.

Excellence does not come from sitting still. Our students work hard in the classroom and through internships. Faculty encourage students to participate in International Study Programs, conferences, trade shows in Chicago and at High Point, and to take advantage of faculty-planned trips to meet successful alumni, visit professional design firms and touch base with industry, and see great design firsthand.

While we encourage participation, travel can be expensive for our students. Over the years, we have seen the kindness our students show each other – often helping other students by loaning money – and that of our faculty who often will underwrite a student when they learn last-minute of a need.

Students need your help to take advantage of these great opportunities!

Travel awards for students will range from $50 - $500, depending on the trip and need. Students will apply to the department on a rolling basis.
