About the Exhibition
This Spring, from April 18 - 28, the Museum Object course in the Department of Art History at Florida State University will present Inked! Evolution of Print Culture, showcasing a selection of prints ranging from the Renaissance to the Industrial Revolution. The exhibition will offer an overview of different types of prints and their function in society. The show will also address the evolution of print making and the process of print collecting in the twentieth century.
The exhibition will be mounted in the William Johnston Building Gallery, set in the newly renovated, LEED-certified William Johnston Building on Landis Green. With two glassed walls, facing the building's five-story atrium, the gallery is an exquisite and yet intimate space to show work.
