Being an engineering student is hard. Worrying about unpredictable emergencies makes it harder. That is why the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering is creating the Engineering Student Emergency Loan Fund. With your support, we can provide the necessary support to students who are facing unfortunate situations which could include car repairs, medical bills, travel funds to get home because of a death of a family member, or countless other situations.
The fund is set-up so that students can matriculate through school, but eventually will need to pay back the funds, which in-turn will be used to support future students with emergency needs.
An added incentive for our campaign is that there is an anonymous faculty member who has agreed to match gifts up to our total goal amount. In their many years of service, they have seen several students who could have benefitted from a fund such as this, which is why they are choosing to support the campaign.
