As one of the top universities with alumni on Broadway (as named by Playbill), FSU students embark on their theatre careers with the backing of a nationally-recognized reputation. In addition to their intense training while in Tallahassee, School of Theatre works to provide our graduating students with a foundation to transition into the professional theatre world.
FSU's School of Theatre hosts our annual Senior Showcase in New York for students graduating from our highly acclaimed Music Theatre and Acting Programs. This year's Showcase performance will be held at the Florence Gould Theatre on Monday, May 8 (Music Theatre) and Wednesday, May 10 (Acting). Students perform in pairs, as a group and solo to highlight their talents in front of hundreds of agents, casting directors, and representatives from producing organizations.
The Senior Showcase also provides an important opportunity to connect graduating students with alumni. Students stay with alums from the Music Theatre program while in New York City, then come together for networking and celebration at a post-performance reception.
