Cybersecurity Education Initiatives

There are “new and rapidly growing threats” of cyberstrikes to the US homeland – perils that will require hundreds of young, college-age students to counter an alarming number of daily incursions into the nation’s electrical grid and financial networks.

Your donations will be highly valued, and carry significant weight in terms of social networking and preparing our students, especially those who are in FSU’s Cybersecurity Club in cyber defense.

Your support will provide our students with opportunities to:

  1. Learn about cybersecurity topics, and STEM-related careers in the field of cybersecurity either through the curriculum and extra-curricular activities e.g., Cybersecurity Club.
  2. Respond to the Department of Homeland Security National Initiative for Cybersecurity Careers and Studies (NICCS).
  3. Have hands-on cybersecurity experience with appropriate hardware, software, devices, and the cloud environment, etc.
  4. Participate with extra-curricular competitions (e.g., securing power grids) on campus using awards, incentives and prizes.
  5. Enhance their competitiveness in the regional and national Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition (CCDC), Cyber Security Awareness Week (CSAW) Capture the Flag (CTF) Competition, CyberSEED, and various national competitions.
  6. Avail of Cybersecurity scholarships.
  7. Support internship and career opportunity in these cybersecurity domains.

With your gift, the Cybersecurity Education Program will prepare the next generation to meet the needs of business and national security.
