Diem Brown Scholarship Fund
The Diem Brown Scholarship Fund is a tribute to honor Diem's unconquered spirit in the face of life's challenges and her passion and commitment to Florida State University. Students who are going through hardships and need emergency financial assistance due to unforeseen and extenuating circumstances that affect their abilities to pursue their academic goals will receive scholarships in memory of Diem.
Diem fell in love with Florida State the first time she stepped on campus during her freshman year. A Communications major and a dedicated member of Delta Gamma Sorority, Diem fully embraced everything FSU as much as she could during her four years as a student. She continued to stay involved even after she graduated and remained a loyal and ardent fan of the Seminoles.
Diem was a force to be reckoned with, as exemplified by her competitive spirit on the MTV Challenges but most especially during her brave battle with ovarian cancer. She was a fighter, determined and strong - doing everything she could until her brave fight came to an end. She passed away on November 14, 2014 at the age of 34, ending her third battle with cancer.
It is our hope that with the Diem Brown Scholarship Fund, we can keep Diem's unconquered spirit alive and ensure that her legacy lives on forever. Every gift made in Diem’s memory is an affirmation of support to all those who are going through similar challenges as Diem faced. Your support will provide the inspiration and motivation for students who receive the scholarship and help them in their journey to succeed at Florida State University.
The Diem Brown Scholarship fund will benefit FSU College of Communication & Information students pursuing degrees in Communication, Advertising, Public Relations, Media Production, and Integrated Marketing.
