WVFS celebrates 31 years of broadcast!
Thank you for helping support more than three decades of quality programming, hands on experience for students from every major, professional development in all facets of radio operations, and oodles of amazing success stories and fond memories.
Vive la V89!
WVFS Tallahassee 89.7FM, the Voice of Florida State (also affectionately known as V89), is excited to celebrate College Radio Day (all year long!) and 31 years of broadcast. Staffed by nearly 200 hardworking volunteers from every corner of campus and every walk of life, V89 provides diversity in programming while serving as a topnotch training facility, offering students real world experience, academic opportunities, and professional development in all facets of radio operations, including News, Sports, Production, Continuity, Development, Public Relations, Announcing, Multimedia, and Live Studio Recording.
College radio is an important educational opportunity for students from all majors, not just Communication, and—for more than three decades—V89 has provided exciting learning opportunities to thousands while also serving as a premiere independent radio station for the campus and the community, and now the world at large via streaming audio.
With your financial support, V89 can continue to provide this exceptional personal and professional experience. Funds raised help us to maintain round the clock broadcast, repair and upgrade station equipment and facilities, and manage emergency needs and unexpected essentials. Please help continue the great tradition of college radio at FSU by making your contribution today. Any donation, big or small, helps to ensure the future of WVFS!
