FSU College of Law Student Emergency Fund
The FSU College of Law Student Emergency Fund provides financial assistance in times of crises. The fund is currently being utilized for the FSU Law COVID Emergency Grant Program, which serves to assist currently enrolled FSU Law students who are experiencing unanticipated financial, personal, and/or medical difficulties related to COVID-19.
Students may apply for an emergency grant based on clearly demonstrated need. Examples of circumstances that may warrant an Emergency Grant include, but are not limited to,
Temporary loss of student’s job or jobs and/or job-search-related expenses
Emergency travel home for illness or bereavement in the immediate family
Emergency child care
Uninsured dental/medical/healthcare expenses, including replacement of medication
Housing displacement due to unsafe, unhealthy or unpredictable living conditions
Technology to be used for online classes and exams, including access to Wifi/internet, laptop, course supplies, etc.
Disability-related expenses for reasonable academic accommodations
Other sudden loss resulting in lack of funds for food or basic living expenses
