Susan Porterfield Graduate Student Support Fund
Dr. Susan “Sue” Porterfield is a family nurse practitioner, Assistant Professor and former Assistant Dean of Graduate Programs for the FSU College of Nursing, Florida State University. She is a generalist in her nursing career as she balances her research, clinical practice, teaching, and administrative duties with equal enthusiasm. Sue’s early research focused on exploring Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) and the affect it had on women's health; knowledge and perceptive risk of getting HPV. More recent research includes disruptive clinician behavior and incivility in the workplace.
It is our hope to recognize Sue’s dedication to the College of Nursing by endowing a fund to honor her dedication and service to the College of Nursing. We invite you to join us in honoring Susan by making a contribution to the Susan Porterfield Graduate Student Support Fund. The Susan Porterfield Graduate Student Support Fund will provide financial support to graduate students to offset the cost of the experiential learning component(s) for Doctor of Nursing Practice students. Preference will be given to graduate students participating in the indirect clinical requirements for the Lifestyle Medicine for the Healthcare Professional Certificate Program.
