The Victim Advocate Program (VAP) provides a confidential advocate 24 hours a day/7 days a week to respond to FSU students, staff, or faculty who are victims of crime or to any person victimized on our campus, at an FSU sponsored event, or by a member of the FSU community.
Services include, but are not limited to, crisis counseling, safety planning, emergency housing, referrals to campus and community resources, instructor notification, advocacy through medical or legal procedures, and education on and assistance through Title IX investigations and the student conduct process. VAP provides ongoing training to campus departments on trauma-informed care and hosts a weekly healing group for survivors.
A contribution to VAP will help to ensure FSU students, staff and faculty that are survivors of a crime or victimization have all the resources, tools and support they need.
