WHAT: Since 1928, the FSU College of Social Work has been educating students to help meet the needs of society. CSW students must be adequately prepared as the next generation of social work practitioners, advocates and leaders. Many impactful experiences occur in and outside the classroom. This year, the College of Social Work’s Great Give project supports the newly established Jim Clark Leadership Fund, established in honor of Dr. Jim Clark who served as dean from 2015 until 2021.This year, Dr. Clark was appointed provost and executive vice president of Academic Affairs at Florida State. The Jim Clark leadership Fund was established in honor of his continued legacy of commitment and leadership to Florida State University, first as dean of the College of Social Work and now as FSU’s provost.

HOW: The Jim Clark Leadership Fund exists to enable students to gain valuable experiential learning opportunities and community engagement. This fund can also respond to emergency needs. We need your support to increase the Jim Clark Leadership Fund, making it available to many students. The fund will provide financial support to social work students, faculty and staff, filling in the gaps and come to the aid of urgent needs related to key social work projects, events and initiatives.
