Last year, our hunt seat team placed fourth out of sixteen hunt seat teams in a very competitive region. Our western team was second in the region and took high point rider of the year. All three of our teams sent riders to Nationals with our western rider placing eighth!  With your support, we hope to be even more successful this year.   

As a sport club, we are not fully funded by the university, and the majority of our funding for these competitions comes from donors like you. The average cost to attend one horse show for a team is over $2,000.  With our teams attending around 15 shows per year, our budget for show attendance alone is $30,000.  This does not include weekly lessons ($50 per rider per week), travel expenses for shows outside of Florida, equipment for practice, or outfits for shows, which cost $500 each at the least.  We hope that with your help, we can offset some of these costs for our members so that we can represent FSU and the Sport Club Program to the best of our abilities.
