This glorious outdoor Shakespeare production will be a highlight of the Sarasota theatrical season. But we need help to cover our extraordinary expenses for this event. We have the actors (they are, after all, the “Future of the American Theatre”!); we have the costumes, the sets, the lights . . . but now we need to raise $10,000 to cover the cost of weather-resistant stage, sound & lighting equipment for this magical event.
The FSU/Asolo Conservatory for Actor Training is a three-year MFA program based in Sarasota. Operating in partnership with the Asolo Repertory Theatre, the Conservatory program combines rigorous classroom training with performance opportunities on both the Cook and Mertz Stages. The second year students present a four-show season which includes classic and contemporary works, culminating in the final show - Shakespeare’s “Love's Labour Lost” outdoors at the Ringling Museum of Art & Gardens. A portable sound system will bring music and sound effects to the production, truly surrounding the audience with this magical story.
Performances will run April 4 - 23. Learn more about the production and get tickets now on the Asolo Rep website.
