Thank You Letter:

Dear Seminole Club of Greater Orlando and FSU Seminole Clubs team:

Thank you for awarding me the generous Seminole Club of Greater Orlando Endowed Scholarship. I am honored that I was chosen as the recipient. This scholarship will assist me with my educational, leadership, and social endeavors while attending FSU.

I have been a Seminole fan for as long as I can remember. My parents both received their bachelor and juris doctorate degrees from FSU. When I was younger, I attended FSU football games regularly. At these games, I watched the Chief Osceola and Renegade tradition and immediately developed a sense of school spirit toward FSU and knew that is where I would attend college.

In addition to instilling me with an allegiance toward FSU, my parents taught me the importance of a strong work ethic and attention to detail. I graduated with high honors from Bishop Moore Catholic High School in Orlando, Florida and am enrolled to attend FSU as a freshman in the Fall 2022. While at FSU, I plan on majoring in commercial entrepreneurship. From a young age, I have had a passion for owning businesses. For example, at 11 years old I began a Pokemon Trading Card Game summer camp which is currently in its eighth summer running. I hold camp 4-6 weeks each summer and average 10-15 campers per week. I am in charge of daily operations, marketing, shopping, employment and teaching campers to play the Pokemon trading card game. If you are wondering why Pokemon, I am a highly world ranked Pokemon Trading Card Game player and have been traveling the world competing in tournaments since I was seven years old.

After graduating with my bachelors degree in 2026, I plan on attending law school at FSU. With my commercial entrepreneurship and law degree, I hope to begin my own law practice or business. Both of these degrees will help me become a better business owner and leader in my community.

Again, thank you for the generous scholarship award and support. I promise I will work hard at becoming the best version of a Seminole and inspiring and giving back to the next generation of Noles. GO FSU!

Warm Regards,

Tanner Hurley
