The Museum of Fine Arts (MoFA) and the student galleries across campus connect the College of Fine Arts, Florida State University and the broader community to the arts.
In addition to maintaining a permanent collection of over 6,000 objects at MoFA, our museum and galleries present exhibitions of historical and contemporary art works that contribute meaningfully to the scholarship and conversations that sustain the civic and intellectual life of our campus, city, and region. By introducing diverse audiences to the integral roles that art and culture play in shaping societies, these sites foster collaboration, creativity, and critical engagement.
MoFA also hosts class tours and offers internships for students interested in pursuing a career in museums. Our galleries are often staffed by students, allowing them to learn about curation, exhibit installation, event planning, and marketing. These are spaces where openness, collaboration, creative inquiry, and the establishment of community is encouraged.
