It is alarming to note there are FSU seniors each semester who have met or exceeded their financial aid eligibility, creating various levels of unmet need. This means that even after grants, loans, scholarships, working multiple jobs, and family contributions, students often face the realization that they can no longer afford to attend/finish college.
Each semester, many qualified seniors are faced with a schedule cancellation due to the inability to pay their financial obligations. On average, 100-150 term-eligible graduates are subject to having their courses dropped while actively participating in their last semester. The Graduation Planning & Strategies office partners with the Dean of Undergraduate Studies, Financial Aid and Student Business Services to identify seniors in this predicament to provide support in a potential monetary boost vital to their continued enrollment and degree completion.
Through your timely donation, you can help deserving seniors clear a significant graduation hurdle that will allow them to reach their goal of becoming proud Florida State University alumni. To learn more about this innovative program, click here.
