The First-Generation Matching Grant Fund provides critical support for students at Florida State University who are first in their family to attend college and are from low-income backgrounds in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties.
The State of Florida provides a two-to-one state match for all contributions to this fund, effectively tripling your donation and the financial support for this student population.
These funds support students engaged in the Center for Academic Retention and Enhancement (CARE) Program. In addition to financial support, CARE provides preparation, orientation and academic support for first-generation students who may face unique challenges in college because of educational or economic circumstances.
