The Captain Jack Ringelberg Dive Training Program

FSU Panama City has established a cutting-edge technological training program for U.S. Navy Diver and Engineering personnel which will incorporate advanced technological training in Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) operation and deployable sonar systems. This program directly addresses the Navy's increasing need for skilled personnel capable of operating these complex technologies in challenging underwater environments. Leveraging FSU Panama City's existing dive program infrastructure and experienced faculty, this initiative will provide comprehensive hands-on training, equipping Navy personnel with the skills and knowledge necessary for effective utilization of ROVs, sonar, magnetometer, and other technological tools in critical missions such as mine countermeasures, search and recovery, underwater infrastructure inspection, and environmental monitoring.
