Interior Design - Beyond the Classroom
Student learning in the classroom is enhanced when they can experience examples first-hand.
Help the Department support drive-distance field trips that enhance class and studio learning, including opportunities like the Ringling Summer Program and an extended weekend at High Point Market.
Field trips are organized by faculty, tailored to particular coursework and class projects. Just this fall, students studying healthcare design traveled to Jacksonville to visit the Mayo Clinic facilities along with firm Gresham Smith and Perdue Office Interiors. This spring, students in Lighting Fundamentals traveled to Atlanta for visits to Cooper Lighting, Gensler, and the Steelcase Lifestyle Center. Gifts may be used for the general advancement of the Department.
