Since 1957, alumni of the Dedman School of Hospitality have reported the Ashby Stiff Little Dinner Series as one of their most memorable, formative experiences at Florida State University. In their catering management course, hospitality students are challenged to tap into their creativity and work in teams to manage this publically available series of themed, five-course dinners. In addition to creating, planning and managing their own dinners, they work as servers, cooks, and dishwashers at their classmates’ events. As a result, students come away amazed at what they are able to accomplish as they create one of the most highly regarded dining experiences in the Tallahassee area. Your support will enable students to continue experiencing this extraordinary Florida State University learning tradition for the next 60 years!
