The Florida State University Weightlifting Club is gearing up for one of the biggest seasons in our program’s history. This year, 30 dedicated athletes have earned the opportunity to compete on the national stage — representing FSU at both the USAW University National Championships in Salt Lake City, Utah, and the USAPL Collegiate National Championships in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Our athletes have put in countless hours of training, balancing demanding course loads, early-morning lifts, and rigorous competition schedules. Their hard work paid off, now we need your help to get them there.
Attending these national competitions is an incredible honor, but it comes at a significant cost for our student-athletes. Funds raised through this campaign will directly support essential trip expenses, prioritized as follows:
-
Housing:
Lodging for both teams during their multi-day stays (April 7–12 in Salt Lake City and April 8–12 in New Orleans). -
Competition Fees:
Registration costs approximately $175 per athlete, a major barrier for many students. -
Travel:
-
The Olympic Weightlifting team will be flying to Salt Lake City for the 4-day USAW University Nationals (April 9–12).
-
The Powerlifting team will be driving to New Orleans for the 4-day USAPL Collegiate Nationals (April 9–12).
Because our athletes compete across every weight class, FSU will have lifters on the platform every day of both competitions.
-
Funds not used for these expenses will go toward general support of the FSU Weightlifting Club.
Every contribution — no matter the size — helps remove financial obstacles and ensures that our athletes can proudly represent Florida State University on the national stage. By supporting this fundraiser, you are fueling their passion, hard work, and dedication to excellence.
Thank you for helping our team rise to the challenge and compete with pride.
Let’s lift FSU to new heights—together!
