The Florida Center for Reading Research (FCRR) is collecting funds to further our mission of improving literacy rates within our community. All proceeds will go towards the purchase of books for elementary-aged children designed to promote basic reading skills. Students need instruction in foundational reading to successfully develop literacy skills. Research shows that students who fail to read adequately in first grade have a 90 percent probability of reading poorly in fourth grade, and a 75 percent probability of reading poorly in high school. By providing families with these books, FCRR is helping to support educational advancement in our own backyard. Please consider donating today!
