This year, almost 1,000 FSU seniors had met or exceeded their financial aid eligibility, creating various levels of unmet need. This means that even after grants, loans, scholarships, family contributions and working to support themselves often times with multiple jobs, students were faced with the realization that they could no longer afford to attend college. Each semester, many qualified students are dropped from their classes for failure to pay their financial obligations. For as little as $250, an undergraduate graduation microgrant can provide the vital monetary boost needed to allow graduating seniors the opportunity to stay enrolled and reach the finish line to their degrees.
