Student Leadership Council (SLC)

Each year the College of Business Student Leadership Council (SLC) helps hundreds of students jump-start their professional lives by hosting events and offering programs that promote collaboration among students, faculty members and industry leaders while they’re still in school. Students benefit from these events and programs through one-on-one mentoring, workplace shadowing, career networking and job-searching advice from countless industry executives. College-wide activities also allow students to interact with faculty members and fellow classmates. Please consider making a gift during this 36-hour event to help support our SLC activities and make a difference in the lives of our fellow Noles.

Networking Programs

  • Local Business Shadowing – College of Business students interact with business professionals in their working environment through this program, providing them insight into their chosen field and the opportunity to learn more about a career path or industry.
  • Peer Connect Mentoring – Junior and senior mentors in our Peer Connect Mentoring program offer valuable guidance to help incoming students navigate through the College of Business to make the most of their college career.
  • Professional Mentorship Program – Through this program, College of Business alumni and friends provide encouragement and insight for current students on career development, personal growth and challenges in the workplace.

**You can double, or even triple, the impact of your gift to the College of Business Student Leadership Council if you or your spouse are employed by a company that matches the charitable contribution of its employees. Find out if your employer has a matching gift policy.
