Florida State University's new Innovation Hub is “The Hub” for transdisciplinary discovery, design, and innovation. Here we provide students with the tools, knowledge and experience to confront the vexing, complex and wicked challenges of our day. Our mission is to enable students to discover needs, imagine opportunities, design solutions, and share experiences in an innovative, collaborative, and entrepreneurial environment.

At the Innovation Hub students learn to apply innovation frameworks like Design Thinking, along with the latest technologies including as 3D Printing and other digital fabrication technologies, virtual and augmented reality, coding and app development, to solve real world problems in a collaborative, inclusive and empathetic environment.

“The Innovation Hub is positioned as a cornerstone in the world-class entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem we are building at FSU,” said Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs Sally McRorie. “We want every student, regardless of background, to be empowered to be an innovator who can use their talents to address the immense challenges we are facing in the world.”

“The collaborative space is a really cool place to get things done,” states FSU Junior, Alyson K. “It’s introduced me to a lot of new technology, and it’s amazing I get to use it all for free. The staff is also there to actively help me learn how to use the technology.”
