We need your help to change our criminal justice system from Day 1 of an individual’s arrest. Every dollar raised for Day 1 fosters positive change by applying innovative solutions to the decades-old problem of mass incarceration. The Institute for Justice Research and Development (IJRD) generates data-driven, sustainable solutions to reduce the incarcerated population while improving public health and public safety.
Your contribution will:
- Fund innovative research to divert people out of the criminal justice system
- Provide evidence-based trauma-informed substance use and mental health treatment to help incarcerated individuals recover from addiction and mental illness
- Support individuals to work and thrive as they leave prison and return home to our shared communities
