2020 USO Tour "Spectacular Symphonic Stories"

The Florida State University Symphony Orchestra is one of the nation's premiere orchestras. For the first time since 1991, this acclaimed ensemble will tour from March 16-20, 2020, including performances at the University of Georgia at Athens, Wake Forest University, and at the renowned Music Center at Strathmore near Washington, D.C. Titled "Spectacular Symphonic Stories," the program will include Don Juan by Richard Strauss, "Dear Matafele Peinem," a world premiere composition by Clifton Callender, and Ravel's unforgettable setting of Modest Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition. Traveling and touring provide important experiential learning opportunities for our performance students. Please join us in supporting our outstanding students with this education experience that is above and beyond what they can learn in the classroom.
