The Honors Program at Florida State provides an outstanding undergraduate educational experience giving students the best of both a large research university, and a small liberal arts college. Small classes allow students access to faculty, usually only available at small colleges, and an opportunity to do research, typically only available at a major, research university.
Our Honors students are leaders in university organizations. They win national and international awards, volunteer in the local and global community, and bring distinction to Florida State University.
A caring community of dedicated faculty, staff and talented students support aspiring scholars. Located in the Honors, Scholars and Fellows House, a building designed to foster cooperation, achievement and intellectual curiosity, the Honors program encourages students to achieve their full academic potential by completing coursework that satisfies their intellectual curiosity, and by engaging in research projects or creative endeavors outside the classroom.
By offering an integrative curriculum and cultivating a vibrant, outward-looking community, the FSU Honors Program develops innovative thinkers who are socially responsible global citizens.
