The FSU Summer Music Camps provides summer music instruction to over 1400 elementary, middle, and high school students for five weeks each June and July. In operation since 1942, the camps have provided an essential bridge in music education for students who receive little or no music instruction as part of the school curriculum; for students who wish to continue their music studies during the summer months; and for students looking to explore advanced instruction with the possibility to pursue collegiate studies after their high school graduation.
This summer you can help us bring deserving students to campus to attend the FSU Summer Music Camps. Though the music camp program currently supports an average of 250 campers with over $20,000 in discounts, there are some students who need additional financial assistance to make camp a possibility.
Your tax-deductible gift will go directly toward covering the full cost of music camp for a student who would not be able to afford camp otherwise. Any contribution, large or small, will help us meet our goal of supporting 10 students who have applied with a nomination from their music director. A generous donor has agreed to match the first $4,500 raised, dollar for dollar!
Our music camps provide students with opportunities, experiences, and memories that will stay with them for a lifetime. We hope that you will be part of this effort by giving an exceptional summer experience to a student who has worked hard all year long.
