Robert Tyson (‘15, Business) and Anna Castellano (’16, Art History) share a unique love story. The two met while studying abroad with FSU’s International Programs in Florence in 2013. While in Florence, they both happened to be living at the Vespucci Residence. Both Robert and Anna credit study abroad with helping them grow as individuals, deepen their world view, and develop their communication skills as well as their love for travel.
Their passion for Florence and the impact that it has had in shaping their lives runs deep in their garnet and gold veins. So much so, that when Robert decided to pop the question he knew he had to do it where it all began. Their wedding took place on October 10, 2022 and was officiated by the Director of the Florence Study Center, Frank Nero.
The gift of experiential learning and love has inspired Robert and Anna to fund a scholarship for students in need to broaden their horizons through study abroad experiences in Florence.
Your support of this project on Giving Tuesday and beyond will help establish a permanent scholarship fund to help students study abroad and gain the same experiences so beloved by Robert and Anna.
