It is alarming to note there are FSU seniors each semester who have met or exceeded their financial aid eligibility, creating various levels of unmet need. This means that even after grants, loans, scholarships, working multiple jobs, and family contributions, students often face the realization that they can no longer afford to attend college. Each semester, many qualified seniors suffer a schedule cancellation for failure to pay their financial obligations. In the fall 2019 semester alone, 190 potential term eligible graduates were subject to having their courses dropped. The Graduation Planning & Strategies office partners with Financial Aid and Student Business Services to identify seniors in this predicament to provide the vital monetary boost needed to allow them to stay enrolled and reach the graduation finish line.
