Launched in the Fall of 2019, Project ElevatED is the College of Education’s effort to change the narrative about education careers and encourage more talented young people to seek out opportunities to teach, coach, and lead in K-12 educational settings. After all, education is the one profession critical to making all other professions possible, and giving our young people a strong foundation can set them up for a lifetime of learning.
Thanks to the support of FSU alumni and friends, the College of Education has delivered nearly 3,000 ElevatED care packages to working alumni teachers across the state. We want FSU alumni working in Florida’s K-12 system to know that they are seen, valued, and recognized for the sacrifices they make every day.
Our efforts to change the conversation have encouraged more students to select the College of Education, with enrollment growing from just over 1,700 students to nearly 2,300 students in the past two years and provided more opportunities for student support than ever before. In fact, since ElevatED started, we have graduated 1,635 individuals for careers in K-12 education.
In 2022, the College of Education provided over $800,000 worth of scholarship funding for our students, continuing our streak as the most generous academic scholarship program on FSU’s campus and the most generous College of Education in the state of Florida.
You can support Project ElevatED today through your gift to the College of Education’s General Fund. Your contribution supports the state’s largest College of Education scholarship program, professional development programs for working teachers, funding for new Project ElevatED initiatives, and the continued growth of the College of Education’s outreach events.
