WVFS Tallahassee 89.7FM

WVFS Tallahassee 89.7FM, the Voice of Florida State (also affectionately known as V89), is grateful for your generosity.

Staffed by nearly 200 hardworking volunteers from every corner of campus and every walk of life, V89 provides diversity in programming while serving as a topnotch training facility, offering students formative real-world experience, academic opportunities, and professional development in all facets of radio operations, including News, Sports, Production, Continuity, Development, Public Relations, Announcing, Multimedia, and Live Studio Recording. Broadcasting 24/7/365, station staff work hard behind the scenes and in-studio to provide quality live and automated programming.

College radio remains an important educational opportunity for students from all majors, not just Communication, and—for more than 35 years—V89 has provided exciting learning opportunities to thousands while also serving as a nationally recognized, premiere independent radio station for the campus and the community, and the world at large via streaming audio at wvfs.fsu.edu.

With your financial support, V89 can continue to provide this exceptionally personal and professional experience. Funds raised help us maintain round-the-clock broadcasts, manage emergency needs, and upgrade station operations, equipment, and facilities—including our ongoing efforts to build out a fully operational podcast studio and digitize our music catalog of nearly 40,000 pieces.
