The Human Development and Family Science fund provides general support to faculty, students, and staff to help advance research initiatives, cover travel expenses, invite guest lecturers, and much more. To continue our advancement of the field of Human Development and Family Science our students and faculty routinely travel to attend industry conferences like the National Council on Family Relations or the American Association of Family an Consumer Sciences, where students and faculty share their research, network, and recruit new scholars and students to FSU.
In Fall 2023, the Department of Human Development and Family Science helped support the first alumni and student engagement event at NCFR in Orlando to build a greater sense of community and strengthen our alumni network.
Your gift to the Human Development and Family Science fund will provide permanent support for events like this and provide flexibility for the faculty and Chair of HDFS to address new challenges in our field and solve new problems that arise.
