Nearly 200 students major in an FSU program for dietetics, nutrition, or food science. These programs prepare students for better food production, healthy living, and proper fueling for athletic performance. Student groups like the Student Dietetics Association and the Flavor Society also provide a sense of community for one another and all of FSU. These students aren’t just making dinner, they are making a difference.
In Fall of 2024 they prepared “Friendsgiving” meals open to all students who could not travel home or who had nowhere to go for Thanksgiving, and they partnered with the student food pantry to produce recipes for FSU’s food insecure students to eat healthy and prepare great tasting meals from the pantry’s ingredients.
Students in the food sciences come out of pocket for their ingredients even when hosting events open to the public. Please help support the Dietetics, Food, and Nutrition Student Groups and give the Student Dietetics Association and the Flavor Society resources to continue to bring community to the table.
