For members of the Hardee Center’s LifeNet, we know the power of helping one another through sharing knowledge of best practices, providing learning opportunities for students, and sharing job opportunities with emerging professionals. It is the very strength of our relationships with one another that make the LifeNet so strong.
The legacy of Dr. Melvene Hardee and the LifeNet that she created continues to connect Higher Education professionals to one another and to improve our field. The second annual Duel of the Schools - a donor participation challenge against UF's College of Education - presents a wonderful opportunity to support the next generation of LifeNet members.
We have two goals for this year’s Duel. As you know, the Hardee Center Hooding Ceremony is the envy of many. However, some of our students can’t afford the cost of the regalia, which causes them to miss out on part of their celebration. With your support of $1,000, we can purchase robes for both our master's and doctoral students to borrow.
We’re also working to help our students before they graduate by providing as many free copies of our master’s and doctoral textbooks as possible. The Hardee Center Resource Library will host both digital and physical copies of textbooks for the students to check out as needed. For $500, you can purchase a book for them to use.
Help us show the strength of LifeNet through your participation and #OutGiveTheGators! Track our progress at dueloftheschools.com.
