Ten years ago, we said goodbye to our friend Steve Ellis.  Steve played such a huge part in the lives of so many. His work as a sportswriter covering Florida State athletics put his name and face in thousands of homes daily. He simply had a knack for finding an angle that no other reporter could, which is what separated him from everyone else. Steve dedicated his life doing what he loved--and what he always wanted to do. As a youngster, Steve let it be known he wanted to be a sportswriter. He loved telling other peoples' stories. He loved his interactions with athletes and coaches. He loved the chance to chronicle the games people watched and help them understand the behind-the-scenes details that decided those games.
