Project ElevatED
Project ElevatED started at FSU in 2019 as an attempt to change the conversation around careers in education and uplift education professionals across the state. At FSU, our efforts have provided $1.81M in scholarships, provided over $77K in tuition waivers for Florida’s Teachers of the Year to continue their education, and delivered over 2,500 care packages to working teachers in Florida.
In 2021, our efforts saw the College of Education with our highest enrollment numbers in a decade and a rise to #18 in U.S. News in World Report rankings, our highest ever. But we know that if we want to truly elevate education, we cannot do it alone
The ElevatED Challenge
From November 22nd through November 30th, Florida’s Colleges of Education have committed to working together to show support for education careers through a first-of-its-kind Education challenge. All but one of the State University System Colleges have agreed to support ElevatED this year (I bet you can guess who hasn’t), and eight will participate in the ElevatED Challenge this Fall. Donor participation challenges are about the total number of participants, not necessarily the dollar goals we hope to reach, so gifts of as little as $5 will count toward our overall participation goal. You can track the combined progress of every school at www.elevatedchallenge.com.
