The future of human performance and health
This year marks the College of Human Sciences 100th anniversary. Established in 1918 to provide advanced education in the subjects of home economics, the College has evolved and experienced rapid growth. Over time, each department has become more specialized to address the growing complexity of individual and societal needs.
Today, the momentum of the College is moving toward a medically-oriented health and wellness approach to the study of family, community, food safety and individual health. We are focused on the synergies between wellness and medicine, and issues that affect individuals, families, communities, and cultures. Over 2,000 students are mentored each semester by outstanding teaching and research faculty in a challenging academic environment.
With your help, we can continue to grow this level of excellence and provide more opportunities that enriches our students, faculty, and community.
